Impact Hub London is part of the Impact Hub global network which has locations in over 100 cities across 60 countries. Together we aim to build a just and sustainable world around us.

At Impact Hub London, we believe in activating change at every level to build a world that works for everyone. That’s why we offer more than just the physical infrastructure to do so. We are more than just a coworking space.
We’re a vibrant community designed for changemakers, focused on improving the health of our planet and humanity by accelerating entrepreneurial action. We do this through providing a space to build a collaborative community, enabling access to entrepreneurial support, and connecting those within the impact ecosystem.
In 1873, long before the age of social innovation, No. 34B York Way began its life as a humble warehouse, serving a lead factory tucked behind its walls. Later, in the 1940s, it transitioned to manufacturing mechanical hoists and even more recently, housed car repairs. Little did anyone know, this unassuming building would one day become a hub for change.
A vision takes shape
Following the opening of the first Impact Hub in Islington in 2005, a spark ignited in King’s Cross. In 2007, Impact Hub King’s Cross was formed through collaborative vision, innovative ideas, and careful planning. Early in 2008, investments were secured, and the transformation of 34B York Way began. By October 2008, the doors of Impact Hub King’s Cross opened, becoming the second oldest hub within the now extensive network.
Growth and Certification
2014 saw IHKX establish its not-for-profit sister company, enabling grant-funded programming and expanding its reach. The following years marked significant milestones: the launch of the first business support program, the introduction of the Impact Hub European Scaling Programme. In 2016, we became a certified B Corp, the first collaborative workspace in the UK to earn this recognition.
Expanding Impact
The years 2017 to 2022 witnessed the launch of impactful programmes like Feeding the City and New Roots, further solidifying the Hub’s commitment to social change. However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the Hub to close its doors three times, mirroring official lockdowns and hospitality closures. Despite these setbacks, the Hub persevered, launching the ASSETS program in 2021 and Circular Startup in 2022. The success of these initiatives led to supporting over 900 entrepreneurs between 2017 and 2024, amplifying our impact.
A New Chapter
In 2023, Impact Hub King’s Cross proudly rebranded to Impact Hub London, celebrating its 15th anniversary. This milestone coincided with the opening of Impact Hub London Euston in 2024, born out of a transformative partnership with The Knowledge Quarter and British Land. As part of this exciting expansion, the Hub began offering free memberships to Camden businesses and residents, fostering local innovation.
