Environment Talks – How our consumption choices affect the planet
We’ll dive head first into the problems with increasing mass consumption, and the innovative solutions that are tackling the issue.
As we are getting close to Christmas gifting and 2021 resolutions, it is a great time to look at how the consumption choices we make impact the world around us. Climate change, plastic pollution, fast fashion, overconsumption are all interrelated topics.
Join us for an active and educational online evening, where we’ll dive head first into the problems with increasing mass consumption – and the innovative solutions that are tackling the issue. Through breakout rooms, you will get to interact with other people in the event and through group exercises understand the impact of everyday or usually gifted products from the sourcing of material, to production, distribution and disposal.
The event will be delivered by Sustainability Researcher and Marine Biologist, Stav Friedman, Community Development Director at Impact Hub King’s Cross, Avrilia Diamanti and Environmental and Sustainability Consultant, Diana Rose.
There will be no charge for the event, but we are asking for optional donations in order to cover our costs for running this event. Your contribution is very much appreciated!
Join on Thursday, 19th November, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
