Impact Hub Sustainability Group: First Meetup!
First Meeting: A new era for climate change action: get involved!
Impact Hub King’s Cross is launching a new members-led group focused on sustainability. We invite all members involved in sustainability related projects to come share your views, experiences and learn from others working in the field.
We plan to hold regular meetings where we discuss topics chosen by the members.
Our first meeting will be focused on climate change action and will be hosted by Hub member Nick Marshall, with a talk by Karl Walker to set the scene. Do come along if you’re interested in climate change, either as a novice or an expert. There will be time at the end to discuss how the group can evolve further.
Facilitated by:
Karl Walker, Climate Reality Leader
Karl is a sustainability advisor specialising in organisational and project sustainable planning and strategy.
Nick Marshall, Carbon Project Manager
Nick has been developing carbon emissions reduction projects in the developing world for over 15 years.
Programme:
6.00-6.30: Setting the scene: collective head in the sand syndrome?
6.30-7.00: Current solutions: are they effective?
7.00-7.30: Practical action: what can we do as a hub, as a network?
