This December I was able to spend a few days in Belgrade, Serbia, at our newest sister Impact Hub. Impact Hub Belgrade opened the doors on Tuesday 2nd of December with a remarkable party including the presence of Serbia Minister of Youth and Sports – Vesna Vidojevic. The agenda included a series of fun and interactive workshops, live music, members market place, members sustainable clothing fashion show exhibition (you can find more information about the events here).
Impact Hub Zagreb Director, Hermes Ariaga and other members of the Zagreb team, the Investment Ready Program Coordinator – Lena Gansterer (Impact Hub Vienna) and Simon Ulvund (Impact Hub Global – Managing Director) also attended the opening and the Balkan Meeting. Before the opening event the teams had a meeting about the possibility of starting a Balkan Seed program (which would be a similar methodology applied to The African Seed Program) to animate and bring to live more Impact Hubs in the Balkans region, which is really exciting!
Impact Hub Belgrade has an amazing young and energetic member host team that went above and beyond to make the launching event a success. We wish the whole team at Belgrade the best success and hope our members will visit when in the country.
What is a Sister Hub?
When a team request to to be part of the Impact Hub network they choose an Impact Hub to be their sister hub. The sister hub mission is to mentor and support the new team transferring all internal knowledge. It looks like we are doing a great job as they even named one room in their space after us. Thanks guys!
