The ASSETS 2025 cohort is comprises of five dynamic social enterprises, each with a mission to accelerate low-carbon heating and sustainable solutions within the UK’s construction industry. These innovative organisations are on the front lines of the green transition, working to combat climate change while creating a positive social impact.
The ASSETS programme, a five-year initiative developed in partnership with Wates and Impact Hub London, offers targeted support to help these enterprises scale their operations and amplify their social and environmental goals. By combining Wates’ sector leadership and procurement expertise with Impact Hub’s capacity-building experience, the programme is designed to help these businesses become contract-ready and drive meaningful change.
As Wales’ first plumbing and heating social enterprise, CAFgas CIC reinvests its commercial revenue into community food initiatives and projects that address poverty and improve health and well-being. Their work has earned them national recognition for their commitment to social good.
Construction and Engineering Opportunities (CEO) CIC is a social enterprise that provides transformative training, mentoring, and skill-building in construction and engineering. They empower young people, refugees, ex-offenders, and other vulnerable groups through hands-on learning that builds confidence, resilience, and employability.
CYD Innovation delivers specialist consultancy and support for net-zero housing retrofit projects. With a focus on social value, the firm provides a comprehensive range of services, from retrofit assessments to quality assurance, helping clients like social landlords enhance their project impact without the need for extensive in-house teams.
A trade-based Limited Company, Limitless Energy, specialises in installing renewable energy solutions like solar PV, heat pumps, and battery systems. Operating with an entirely electric fleet, the company is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and helping clients make a positive transition away from fossil fuels.
